The Professional Background Screening Association (PBSA) successfully held the APAC Annual General Meeting (AGM) Conference in Singapore on November 18, 2022. It was a great opportunity for Integrity Asia to be able to attend the event.

This forum was held offline for the first time after the pandemic since 2020. The purpose of this forum was to serve as a gathering for background screening professionals to exchange information and strengthen and expand networks.

On this occasion, the participants, who were background screening company representatives, presented information on trends and shared their concerns. Some topics covered were PBSA General Accreditation, drug testing, global data privacy, and Web 3.0.

At this event, participants also addressed the implementation of data privacy legislation, which is becoming more prevalent in many countries and will undoubtedly influence background screening processes.

In this regard, Integrity Asia has been in support of the regulation of personal data protection from the start. It guarantees the security of individual data as the object of screening.

During the event, which was held at the Marriott Tang Plaza Hotel, attendees also discussed initiatives to recruit more organizations to become PBSA members. As the number of members grows, engagement is expected, which will add to the organization’s reputation.
